Was Camping a false christ? Consider the following:

1. Camping was seen as an oracle of truth by his followers, who ultimately looked to him for "new revelation of God". If Camping disagreed with a conclusion, then it was not God's truth because it didn't come from Camping. Camping's books became the authority, rather than God's word. Camping's "revelations" became the authority, which is no different than tongues, dreams and visions. If the "revelation" didn't come from God, then it's an addition to His revelation given in the Bible, and is false.

2. Camping claimed that all of his "revelations" were part of "God's testing program" without exception, up until May 21, and if you didn't fully believe even one of his "revelations", then you were proving that you were an unsaved tare. In light of the May 21 failure, we see that "God's testing program" was really "Camping's testing program", which means that Camping put himself in the role of God. You either agreed with Camping's word, or you were proving yourself to be an unsaved tare.

3. Camping condemned all Christian ministries that did not agree with Family Radio, which was ALL TV and radio ministries with any mainstream worldwide influence. That sweeping condemnation made Camping and Family Radio, by default, "the divine organizaton". Camping's teaching on Family Radio, became the "mountains" that all who gave their minds to, dwelled in. Those "mountains" were not God's truth, which means that it had nothing to do with Christ (Who is THE Truth) or God's word (God's truth). Camping's followers fled to a lie of a man, and ultimately to satan who is the father of lies and ruler of this world. God is not a liar and He is not the author of confusion. Camping's May 21 prophecy has proven to be a lie, the passing of which, has led to great confusion that continues to this day. Campingism has no ground to stand on because it's foundation is Camping (a liar and false prophet) and not Christ (the Truth and the Son). God does not bring the gospel through the preaching of a lie (May 21). This is not how He operates. God is a God of order and perfection, not the mess of lies that is Campingism. His prophets got it right 100%. Camping got it wrong 100%.

Camping and his remaining followers have denied the Cross, but Christ's gospel still stands, even though they have rejected it. Anyone who denies the Cross, are proving that they don't follow Him. Who brought forth the "demonstration gospel" ? The same man who brought forth the May 21 false prophecy, claiming that God's judgment and rapture happening on May 21, were both "absolute truth" from "the Bible". All who continue to follow Camping instead of Christ, are failing the true testing program of God, without realizing it. And saying "To God be the glory!" doesn't change that reality.

Matthew 24:26
So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

Camping was a wrinkly monotoned egomaniacal jerk, in addition to being another false christ. I don't like jerks, no matter how spiritually superior they present themselves. He was a jerk from the beginning.

I think the above scripture makes plain that NO, God was not glorified by Camping's billboard lies; that Christ was NOT there (and also not present in their midst); those that believed it did so in disobedience; His return will be visible, so to claim 'invisible' is lying against scripture; that in the end, all it amounts to is a rotting corpse with following vultures picking at stinking worm infested death.

Totally a false Christ, totally a $atanic deception that mocks God.

for sure he was a false christ but the sad part of it all is how many actual, human beings, followed the guy. I understand following him for a short while and then "waking" up, but to follow him through May 21s,t is just hard to understand.

It shouldn't be too unbelievable though considering this was all prophesied by Christ during the 1st century.
