I am losing interest in the world of Campingism..........

Without Harold, this whole cult will spit up and die out.

Acts Chapter 5
36 For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody. A number of men, about four hundred, joined him. Satan has used Harold to destroy many physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual lives.

Anyone left following any part of Campingism, please do yourself a favor and completely depart out of all of it....

- attack on the church
- annihilation
- demonstration cross
- date settings
- constantly studying and seeking for spiritual meanings and numbers and dates in the Bible
- judgemental attitude
- lack of assurance of salvation

You have been tricked by the Devil, and are following very bad heresies that the Jehovah's Witness and other cults believe.

Depart fully out of all of these heresies, and find some good fellowship with other mature believers, and live a simple life of loving God and your neighbor.

Focus on Jesus and His sacrifice on the Cross for our sins.

28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

Let's add:

- Calling the results of their 'study' revelation (extreme pride).
- Attributing their mistakes to God (blasphemy).
- Dogmatic new interpretations that in no way map to what Christians have always believed.
- Totally redefining historic concepts such as Judgment, Rapture, etc.
- Extremely flimsy hermeneutics grounded on ignorance of original languages.

I left the FRL Yahoo group tonight. It would be nice to never think, read or hear the name "Harold Camping" ever again. I must have heard, read or thought the name millions of times by now. There's really nothing more to say...Campingism is a dead religion, with the smallest of followings, now. I have nothing against Camping or those few still following him, i just think it's time to forget about this 10 year long saga. There's nothing more to say about it.

I think most of us will agree it is not wise to dwell too much longer on an unrepentant heretic but on those things which edify the body. Although its title might need revision, this forum needn't lose its value for those seeking to grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ by a faith which worketh by love. Beyond this we need to find a reasonably faithful congregation so that we may receive and also give the love and mercy of Christ in the midst of fellow believers.
