I believe he meant to imply the exact opposite of how it appears. He wrote the following post to LR immediately afterward:
Sorry for the vague statement. I meant to make the point that salvation is STILL possible today--which is why Family Radio is still on the air.

I read those posts and I think you got it wrong. If I remember correctly Charlie was adamant that salvation IS still possible.
Charlie never fully bought the May 21, 2011 but never had the courage to come clean either way. Employees like him are equally responsible for these heresies perpetrated by Family Radio.
They deserve no respect until they repent of these very grievous sins against God and man. But just as Camping won't repent neither will Menut....greed, his idol is money. |

I did not see that refute until it was re-posted here. Before I made the post, I checked the entire thread salvation still possible? and did not find his correction. I think he should have corrected himself within the same LR thread also. Furthermore, I did comment, "Unless I have misinterpreted his reply, Charlie Menut is still going with May 21, 2011 as being an important day based on Campings heresy." And it wasn't "clear" as you say. The question from dee upton was, "Has the door to salvation closed?" to which Menut replied, "Yes it is, and anyone coming on here claiming otherwise better present a clear decisive biblical argument to the contrary." Apparently, he was answering the thread title and not the actual question. Even Menut acknowledged his own statement was "vague".
Regardless, it is not my intention to slander anybody. So I apologize to everybody here. Thanks to everybody who pointed this out. |

The author of this thread "Anti-Cult" can edit the subject heading also, to remove it.
You could edit the body of text, but you can also edit the subject heading, and I recommend he does this. |
